Richard cut his teeth in broadcasting as a presenter on TV3’s coverage of the 2002 World Cup in Ghana, and he also co-hosted a daily radio show in the capital city Accra. He has also worked as a journalist and newsreader on radio stations in Devon and on the south coast, before becoming a regular pundit on Sky News.

During the 2010-11 season he presented Give It Up For Lenton on ESPN’s Talk of the Terrace magazine show, where he interviewed big name footballers, sportsmen, actors and musicians. He also reported on the station’s Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League coverage.

Since July 2011, Richard has been presenting live Premier League, FA Cup, European and international football on Eleven Sports Network and SingTel TV in Singapore. He hosted all 64 games of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, 19 consecutive days of 2015 South East Asia Games coverage, and all 51 matches of Euro 2016.
